Our Legacy
The Founder
Poranjeet Borkatoky, also known as Poran Borkatoky or Jojo, is a prominent music composer and producer from Assam, India, known for his significant contributions to the Assamese music and film industry. He rose to fame with his award-winning music direction for the romantic thriller film Ahetuk in 2015. Over the years, he has composed for various Assamese films, including Khel: The Game, Raja Returns, and Rowd Hoi Aha Tumi, showcasing his versatility across genres. As the founder of Dhwani Records, he has also been instrumental in promoting independent music and nurturing emerging talent. His creative vision and dedication continue to shape and elevate the cultural landscape of Assam.
He has been in the field of media and broadcasting for more than two decades and has multiple accolades and awards to his name.
